We are currently recruiting for a Junior Accountant to join our South Calgary client. Please see the responsibilities and qualifications listed below. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ General accounting duties such as: deposits, recording of receipts, and posting monthly rents as part of accounts
receivable duties and coding, entering and paying property management expenses
+ Daily bank runs (use of your own vehicle is required and mileage will be paid)
+ Switchboard relief for up to two hours daily; Required availability for coverage from 4:30-5:00pm daily.
+ Support as needed for the entire accounting team
+ Assist with year-end audit processes


QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Basic accounting knowledge and demonstrated practical application of that knowledge in a work environment is required
+ Previous experience with general administration duties including switchboard is required
+ A qualified candidate will need to be detail-oriented with proven ability to solve problems
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills required
+ Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) skills are required
+ Access to a personal vehicle and a valid DL is required.
