A local tech company in Victoria BC is seeking a temporary Junior Administrative/Accounting Assistant position within their Finance & Administration department. This role is a blend of bookkeeping, junior level accounting and administrative functions, and the ideal candidate is a very detail-oriented and quality-focused person, with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on administrative, clerical, data entry, bookkeeping or accounting experience.

Please note: due to COVID-19, this position will start off as remote and remain as such until the company transitions staff back to the workplace.

Opportunity: Full time, temporary position
Location: Victoria BC, remote working to start
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm (hours may be flexible)
Start: As soon as possible

• Provide accounting and administrative support to the Finance and Administration department
• Enter and match invoices in the accounting system
• Identify and resolve discrepancies at month-end as required
• Process Accounts Payable
• Demonstrate high level of customer service while supporting internal or external stakeholders
• Perform a variety of clerical duties such as word processing, filing, faxing and photocopying.

• Post-secondary education in Office Administration, Bookkeeping or Business field
• A minimum of 2 years of related work experience in administrative support or bookkeeping capacity
• Demonstrated competency in full MS Office suite and Excel; specifically, databases and accounting software
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Outstanding customer service skills.
