Are you a recent graduate from an accounting or commerce program? Do you have 1 - 2 years of experience in an accounting environment? Are you looking for an opportunity to gain experience within a large and well recognized organization? If so we have an excellent opportunity for you! We are currently looking for a Junior Accounting Clerk to support our client, one of Canada's leading Telecommunications and Media firms, in their Scarborough office.

In this role you will work full time hours on a 2 month assignment, earning a rate of $21.75 per hour. As a Junior Accounting clerk your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Accounts payable:
o Verify invoices received are correct and approved by CTV News staff
o Upload invoices to the Bell Accounts Payable system
o Ensure urgent invoices are paid on time
o Code invoices
o Send invoices to senior manager finance for approval

o Track all election spending by GL and cost center
o Liaise with CTV news directors to understand future spending
o Provide weekly spending updates to the senior manager finance

o Re-class Journal Entries
o Reconcile payroll timesheets
o Other similar duties to above

Duration: 2 months
Location: Scarborough ON
Pay Rate: $21.75 per hour

• 1+ year of previous accounting experience is preferred, though recent graduates will be considered
• Knowledge of accounts payable and invoice coding is a plus
• Strong communications skills
• Advanced MS Office skills, specifically in MS Excel
