Randstad Victoria is now looking for a Junior Bookkeeper for our client in the food distribution industry. If you are looking to jump start your career and work with the company that is growing and evolving, this is a perfect opportunity.

Responsibilities and duties

• Handle customer inquiries and take customer orders
• Prepare customer orders, generate and send out invoices
• Scan invoices
• Process credit card payments
• Provide backup support to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments
o Assist in receiving products from vendor deliveries
o Assist in matching purchase orders to invoices and processing in system
• Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc

Key Competencies

• Must pass PCI DSS Compliance check (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) comprising credit/criminal background check
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Customer service skills
• Good verbal and written communication
• Organization skills
• Team member
• Stress tolerance
• Sense of urgency

Education and Experience

• Knowledge of office administration and procedures
• Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
• Hands-on experience in operating accounting software
• 1 years junior accounts receivable and/or general accounting experience
