job description

Attention junior business/finance graduates with less than 5 years of experience.. this is a huge opportunity for you to start your career, training, and mentorship provided.

This position is responsible for assisting with the evaluation of key internal controls over financial reporting to assess whether they are adequately designed, executed, effective, and adaptive.. In addition, you will assist to analyze a variety of miscellaneous reports weekly..

Location: North York - Occasional work from home 2-3x a week
Compensation: $20.00-$25.00/hour
Duration: 8 months

Work with other business and finance departments to ensure that documentation of processes/controls are accurate and current
Assess, test, identify key controls and document testing utilizing the online system
Provide recommendations on enhancement and remediation of internal controls over financial reporting
Administer tasks and track progress for all components of the program over internal controls over financial reporting
Interface with all levels of management, Internal Audit, external consultants and external auditors regarding controls testing and related matters
Work on various special projects as assigned by management

Qualifications
-Must have 2+ years of experience identifying key control issues as per the procedural manual and making recommendation
-Must have experience preparing for internal company audits
-Experience analyzing manuals, documentation and identifying and documenting issues and key fixes.
