Responsibilities
The Truckload Carrier role is the operational support for the nationwide sales team. The role is responsible for booking and tracking shipments of freight. The role requires the ability to multi-task, problem solve and prioritize daily workload. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, develop your logistics skills and collaborate with very talented people across our organization.
• Utilize system as well as web based load boards to book and track shipments of freight
• Ability to multi-task and get accurate updates to sales force
• Negotiate rates with carriers to find the best rate
• Maintain 15% margin on loads
• Make minimum of 100 calls a day to book available load
Qualifications
• Bilingual – French and English
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solver with ability to identify issues and provide solutions quickly
• Multi Tasked
• Determined to be part of a winning team
• Must be able to overcome issues and resolve problems
• Must be comfortable on the phone and have great communication skills.
• Strong negotiating skills and the ability to develop relationships with carriers are a must.
