Responsibilities
In this role, As Junior Fire Alarm Technician or Inspector, you will work alongside a Senior Technician for on-site preventative maintenance inspections, and assist with troubleshooting. In this role you will help perform monthly, quarterly and annual inspections of Fire Alarm systems, Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lighting systems and Fire Hoses as per all applicable Local Fire Codes, ULC Underwriters Laboratories of Canada Standards and NFPA National Fire Protection Agency guidelines.
What will you do
Working alongside a Senior Technician to:
Help perform troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs on different Fire Safety Systems
Other duties as assigned i.e. assisting other technicians
Qualifications
What will you need to succeed
Unrestricted
Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 50lbs and climb ladders or scaffolding
Good oral and written communications
Competent with computers and possess good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Possess a valid and in good standing Class G motor vehicle license
Ability to work well under supervision
Ability to read and understand engineered drawings, specifications, programs, schematics, installation and service manuals
Asset: Diploma in Electrical Electronic Technology
