Our client in the Oakville area is looking for mechanical Laboratory technology with some background in testing and sample preparation.
This will be 12 months contract with the possibility of extension or hire.

Responsibilities
•Perform metallurgical, mechanical, and visual analysis and testing in support of day-to-day operation of laboratory for automotive component development and/or new product or process development
•Execute sample preparation and experimental testing using internal equipment / facilities
•Compose laboratory reports, sample collection and compilation of data in support of process and product investigations
•Deliver timely laboratory support for problem solving, material and process investigations, and product development activities
•Deliver for timely/rapid turnaround time for lab requests, and provide support for lab equipment maintenance and adherence to H&S and Quality standards
Qualifications
•College diploma in a related field, at the Technologist level
•Recent graduate, one to two years’ experience preferred, in the automotive industry. Working knowledge of metallurgical and mechanical testing methods are important assets.
•Familiarity with automotive QS requirements, microscopes and measurement techniques will be an asset.
•Must be self-motivated, detailed orientated, results orientated, and able to deliver multiple project activities in a fast paced environment
•Must have strong communication and customer-support skills, and proven ability to organize and document experimental conditions and resul
