Are you a legal assistant or law clerk with a minimum of 2 years experience in corporate law? Are you comfortable with a hybrid role (75% clerking and 25% admin) that will see you managing a practice while also participating in transactional work? Do you have a strong understanding of incorporations, share purchase transactions/agreements, dissolutions, minute book maintenance, and corporate governance? Do you have a positive attitude and a strong focus on providing a great experience for your internal and external clients? • base salary commensurate to experience ($45,000 at 2 years of experience, or $60,000 + at 5 years of experience)

what you will do

• manage the client service aspect of the practice
• manage timelines for deliverables to governing bodies
• assist with incorporations, minute book maintenance, dissolutions, reporting books, cheque/bank runs, closing agendas, etc
• processing dockets and expenses (gathering and providing to accounting team)
• calendar management and meeting planning
• opening and closing files
• photocopying and scanning as needed
• travel planning as needed

what you will need to be successful

• a minimum of 2 years of experience within corporate law
• a college diploma in law clerk studies or a University Diploma
• experience with transactional/clerk responsibilities in corporate law
• strong judgment and ability to work well in a team
• an aptitude for providing exceptional client service
• a positive attitude
• experience using Cyberbahn, Oncorp and the like
• flexibility to work overtime as needed
