We are looking for a Packaging Supervisor to lead and supervise a team of about 20+ employees.
You will be responsible to coach, motivate and support the packaging teams in our facility.
Advantages
What's in it for you?
-Salary: $60,000 -$70,000 (dependent on experience)
-Bonus: individual performance and company performance bonuses given 2x a year up to 20% of annual salary
-Shift work: weekly rotating day and afternoon shift (8am-4pm & 4pm-12am)

Responsibilities
What will you be doing?
-Responsible for developing an enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible team by building working relationships
ensuring that Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to
-Effectively provide leadership and a direction to a team of 30+ people (packagers and sleevers) while on shift
-Ensure packaging & sleeving projects are completed timely and accurately
-Maintains Precision Record Pressing high quality standards on the line and general good house keeping
protocols on the packaging floor
• Update and maintain status of work orders in the system, including data entry
-Support the packaging operations to achieve productivity targets
-Support the Management team to share ideas and improve packaging operations; recommending, supporting,
and implementing continuous improvement activities and processes to assist meeting company goals and
objectives
-Effectively and efficiently allocate labour required for each project
-Provide daily feedback to workers on performance through coaching and on the job training to improve
efficiencies and standardize techniques
-Prepare KPI data for management
-Maintains necessary departmental documentation and logs
-Coordinating with internal departments to ensure packaging demands are met through proactive and efficient
communication
Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
-3-5 years of previous experience in supervising a team of 20+ people
-Out going personality that is able to coach and motivate employees by leading by example
-Knowledge of packaging operations and minimum 2 years previous packaging experience required
-Valid forklift license required
-Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, efficiency, organization and managing multiple projects while meeting
departmental goals and deadlines
-Detail oriented individual with strong oral, written, and verbal communication skills
-Must be flexible and adaptable to change; effectively able to manage shifting priorities
- Ability to multi-task is essential
