Lead Maintenance Engineer

The Maintenance Engineer is primarily responsible for the operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical and heating systems within the facility. This position will work day shift as well as provide shift coverage, as required.

Responsibilities:
•Maintain day to day operation of physical plant equipment (steam boiler, swimming pool, arena) and all other mechanical and electrical systems
•Operate and maintain all life safety systems
•Inspect, report, and log maintenance issues
•Perform minor building repairs


Qualifications:
•3rd Class Operating Engineer certificate
•5 years + proven maintenance experience in a boiler room setting
•Knowledge of the Operating Engineers Act, WHMIS, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
•Proven technical, administrative and supervisory ability
•Secondary trade certificate would be considered an asset
•Current Vulnerable Sector Police Screening Check required
