Our client, a major legal firm, is looking to hire a Legal Assistant in Corporate Services for their downtown Montreal or Sherbrooke office.

Responsibilities
Manage the opening, closing, invoicing, organization and follow-up of work files for corporate services;
File notices, annual reports, declarations and other documents with the appropriate authorities, and follow up on deadlines in collaboration with the paralegals;
Assist the paralegals in the preparation of draft resolutions for the updating of the minute books and ensure follow-up;
Assist the paralegals in the preparation of closing agendas and the drafting of legal documents in connection with the purchase and sale of businesses and corporate and tax reorganizations, including the preparation of share certificates;
Ensure the updating of all departmental lists and databases;
Assist and communicate with the firm's professionals (lawyers and notaries) and clients to obtain certain basic information;
Request certificates of attestation and compliance, and order copies of documents from government authorities;
Organize documentation for signature purposes, including via DocuSign;
Set up physical and virtual minute books and closing books;
Ongoing filing of corporate minute books (virtual and physical) and maintenance of a minute book log;
Ensure the reception of correspondence and the filing of documents from corporate services, including any scanning to be done;
Support the legal professionals of the business community during their assistant's vacations or absences;
All other related tasks;
Qualifications
D.E.P. en secrétariat avec attestation juridique, D.E.C. en techniques de bureautique ou techniques juridiques OU scolarité et/ou expérience pertinente au poste;
Expérience dans un poste d’adjoint en droit corporatif, un atout;
Excellente maîtrise du français et de l’anglais, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit;
Très bonne connaissance de la suite Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) et de Kofax ou Acrobat Professionnel et connaissance du logiciel EnAct ou autre logiciel corporatif, un atout.
Aptitude à travailler virtuellement pour diverses places d’affaires;
Sens de l’organisation et gestion des priorités;
Capacité à travailler en équipe et à favoriser un climat de travail positif;
Débrouillardise, minutie, autonomie et capacité d’adaptation;
