    Our team is growing, we are looking for an experienced Live Hang Production Worker to join our team on a Permanent, full-time basis.

    Our busy production and distribution facility located in Surrey, BC is the leader and one of the biggest chicken processors in Canada with facilities located across the country, we are dedicated to deliver quality products from farm to table. A service focused distributor who values integrity, team work and strives to provide an inclusive work environment that involves everyone and embraces the diverse talent of its employees.
    As the Live Hang Production Worker you will be working on the live side of the plant handling poultry in a humane manner while compliant with all food and safety, animal welfare standards.


    What you need to know:

    This is a full-time , permanent employment opportunity
    Location: Surrey, BC
    Schedule: Sunday-Thursday
    Shift time: 9:50pm – 6:20am (only graveyard available)
    Wage: $20.65/H ( wage increase every 6 months )
    Union Position (Union dues)
    You are looking for a long term career opportunity, can meet the shift, schedule and job requirements
    You have previous experience in a like minded facility
    You are legally permitted to work Fulltime in British Columbia

    Responsibilities
    As the Live Hang Production Worker, duties include but are not limited to:

    • Handle poultry in humane manner
    • Set live product in shackle line
    • Maintain required line speed
    • Ensure work area is kept clean and compliant with all food safety and animal welfare standards
    • Working in a fast paced production line speed



    Qualifications
    The ideal candidate can meet the following requirements:

    • A minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in a similar production role
    • Team player, adaptable, and energetic with a positive professional attitude
    • You bring experience working in a high volume, fast paced environment
    • Able to work in a refrigerated environment
    • Consistent commitment to working safely and animal welfare
    • Able to accurately work at production line speed
    • Able to handle repetitive tasks, especially lifting from waist to shoulder height, pushing, pulling and bending
    • Have strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
    • Good communication skills in spoken and written English
    • Mechanical knowledge of automated machinery is an asset
    • History of good attendance and reliability
    • No restrictions preventing the ability to wear required PPE for this role, including N95 mask, eye goggles, or any other PPE that may be required due to workplace conditions
