Responsibilities
• The Jr. Technical support role is required for day-to-day support of equipment, workstations,
laptops in the logistics environment.
• This role is receiving, tracking and resolving L1 Help Desk requests, submitted by associates via
Service
Now. (Password resets, application installation.
• This role assists with the installation of new systems and services as required
• Monitor Data centre alarms and co-ordinate with SSC Technology for maintenance.
• Maintaining printers and reports.
• Provide support with selected 1st level ticket issues
• Organize backup tapes for offsite tape storage and prepare documentation for pickup and
receive offsite tapes and ensure accuracy of tapes retrieved.
• Build server racks, racking servers, cabling servers as required, as well as physical hardware
installs
• Support RF equipment used in the warehouse environment as well as RF access points
• Assist with supporting Microsoft Windows and it’s office products
• Support on all office printers (Xerox) as well as printers in Data Centre
• Assist with support of RF equipment used in the warehouse environment as well as RF access
points
• All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Manager is looking for someone with exp in PC's, laptop, phones, zebra scan guns etc.
• Ideally looking for someone with experience in Distribution centre environment.
• Hardware experience
• Previous experience working in service now (any ticketing tool)
• Experience in project manager (in order to speak to 3rd party vendor)
• Minimum Education Required Technical/Business School
• Minimum Years of Experience Required 1 - 2 years
• Working knowledge of wifi, VDI, Windows 7/10 O/S, O365, etc.
• Practical, Technical and Professional Knowledge/Skills: Proficient
• Problem Solving: Makes Inquiries
• Purpose of Communication: Interpreting
• Hours: 7 am to 3:30 pm Pacific Time
• Steel toe shoes
• Experience with ticket tool
• Flexible for updates outside hours
• Work outside the work hours
Working Conditions:
• Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to
move about. Occasionally required to stoop or lift light material or equipment.
• Regular periods during which there is continuous physical exertion required, e.g., walking,
standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment.
• Occasional exposure to factors such as temperature extremes -2°C-19°C, moving machinery,
noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort.
• Regular need to give close attention, either hearing or seeing, to what is happening.
• There is continuous pressure from deadlines, production requirements, accuracy or similar
demands. Unpleasant contacts and/or concern about unpleasant situations are frequent.
Moderate disruption of family/social life.
• Shifts or unusual hours may be required to accommodate the needs of the business.
