The Transport Manager guarantees the smooth running of shipments; he or she ensures the smooth running of the factories' shipping docks (continuity of flows, date rotation, tidiness, cleanliness...), charters the trucks departing from the factories/freezers, manages downgraded products communicated by Ordo, etc., He or she uses the referenced carriers (while being a force of proposal), verifies the applied rates and communicates them to the French management control.

Responsibilities
Organization
- Ensure the management of shipments
- Supervise the dispatch of shipments to freezers
- Control and enter carrier rates
- Validate that the trucks leaving the freezers have been loaded and delivered
- Verify waiting times (loading/unloading), contest transport penalties
- Sending customs papers to carriers
Hygiene and food safety
- Make sure that the storage area is well maintained
- Respect the hygiene instructions applicable in the different production workshops
- Apply food safety instructions for finished products (sealing of vehicles, access control, etc.) access control...)
Qualifications
DEC in transportation logistics or equivalent
- 3-5 years of professional experience in the transportation and logistics sector, preferably in the transportation of frozen consumable goods
- In-depth knowledge of current software, particularly Excel (advanced level preferred) and warehouse software (asset)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
- Good knowledge of the requirements and particularities of food customers
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
