A distributor in Dorval is looking for a logistics coordinator to join their team!
Position reports directly to the Managing Director and oversees and handles all aspects of the daily
warehousing activities while working closely with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction in all
aspects of shipments, returns and customer interactions with our logistics functions.
 
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
 
 Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying,
dispatching and assuring accuracy and quality of shipments
 Pick, pack and place orders.
 Coordinate incoming and outgoing orders.
 Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities.
 Organize and maintain inventory and storage area as well as needed tools and equipment, as
well as perform general maintenance duties around the warehouse and loading docks.
 Order supplies for all warehouse and logistics needs.
 Track shipping performance and review delivery services with management
 Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy. Maintain any needed records in
company ERP (SAP)
 Pay attention to and communicate spikes in demand (up or down)
 Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems when needed
 Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project
warehouse status
 Identify areas of improvement through open and tactful communication in order to establish
innovative (or to adjust) existing work procedures and practices
 Coordinate activities with other departments and ensure overall company synergy between
logistical functions and the other departments.

 Positive and outgoing demeanour.

 A minimum of five years prior experience in warehousing and logistics 
 Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at different levels of the organization
(parent in Belgium and sister company in USA)
 Work requires continual attention to detail
 Exceptional organizational skills required with demonstrated ability to establish priorities, and
meet competing demands and deadlines.
 Professional demeanor.
 Knowledge of SAP, CRM and MS Office proficiency
 Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data
 Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
 Strong organisational and time management skills
 BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration is a PLUS
 Must be bilingual (French/English).  Ability to speak a third language is a plus.
 Forklift / Safety certificates a plus
 Pleasant phone demeanor.

 While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to see; hear; talk; sit;
stand; and walk. 
 Office work, data entry and using a computer may take up to 40% of the daily time
 Climbing ladders to access goods on racks, bending, lifting, packing.
 Lifting weights in excess of 50lbs. All precautions wil be taken to ensure safe working
environment as well as to reduce any strain or risk of injury.
 Primary environment: +/- ambient temperatures, lighting and traditional warehouse equipment
as found in a warehousing environment. 
 Some driving may be required, including transporting goods to customers is a possibility, as
well as picking up supplies.  A valid driver’s license is required.
