Responsibilities
This position involves managing specific company accounts, working closely with customers, and arranging for their transport requirements:
- Managing dedicated customer accounts
- Plan, coordinate and dispatch orders on Loadlink and from pool of carriers
- Liaise with freight forwarder, plants, warehouse, and transport companies to monitor shipments, costs, and timelines to ensure the safe and timely pick-up and delivery.
- Coordinate customs activities
- Negotiate freight rates
- Develop new customer relationships when the opportunities arise
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in multimodal logistics, with trucking brokerage experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Capable of multi-tasking and managing duties simultaneously
- Ability to persuade, influences, and negotiate with others
- Works well in a team environment and collaborates with internal departments
- Maintains a positive attitude and stays motivated in a fast-paced work setting
- Fluent in English, French is considered an asset to support business operations outside of Quebec, Canada
