Responsibilities
• Price and prepare freight quotes including but not limited to FTL, LTL, Ocean Freight (FCL, LCL), Air Freight, Trade Shows, Specialized Equipment.
• Price project requests, providing customers with innovative and cost-effective solutions.
• Negotiate rates with Carriers and International Agents.
• Source new carrier/supplier partners or agents when needed.
• Provide timely responses to quote inquiries from clients and partner agents.
• Assist the Business Development Manager to develop new opportunities as needed.
• Maintain positive relationships within the organization and with our external network to maximize opportunities.
Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in the transportation industry, or related experience.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written), French an asset.
• Knowledge of North American Carrier Network and cross-border shipping requirements an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience with CargoWise is considered an assett.
• Strong organization skills, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, and analytical skills.
