• Support mill operations and perform Monthly Logistics Reviews including dwell time, inventory levels, loading performance, accessorial fees, etc.
• Act as a liaison to off-site Logistics Management Teams
• Assist with monthly cost reviews and actively pursue cost-reduction opportunities
• Monitor accessorial approval process and track monthly charges
• Perform off-site visits to warehouses to perform cycle counts and warehouse audits as needed
• Conduct monthly review of all areas (Inbound, Outbound, CEC Porter) to track performance, on-going projects, areas of improvement, etc.
• Provide data and requested information to the Logistic Operations Director on an as-needed basis
• Assist Inbound Team with cycle counts and inventory management principles to ensure optimal inventory levels of OCC are kept on-site
• Monitor inventory transactions at warehouse facilities to assess receiving, storage, shipping, or inventory integrity
• Apply audit supplier / carrier performance to meet mill objectives and ensure alignment with monthly inventory order.
• Actively pursue process-improvement projects and areas for cost-savings or increased efficiency
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Logistic or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a logistic leadership role
• Leadership and expertise in promoting buy-in to proposed solutions and rallying their team around objectives.
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Autonomy, strong sense of responsibility, and strong personal and professional ethics.
• Rigour and agility to handle projects based on their scope, budget and timelines.
• Collaborative spirit needed to work closely with all team members.
• Ability to proactively address issues and problems by proposing solutions.
