Responsibilities
Package products into various formats following company GMP, SOP requirements, and regulatory standards.
Comply with established GMP and safety protocols, ensuring the use of appropriate clothing and safety gear.
Promptly report any accidents, incidents, injuries, or illnesses, and notify the Packaging Supervisor of any hazards or unsafe practices.
Perform on-line inspections of packaging materials and products to ensure compliance with quality standards, and adhere to "Right First Time" documentation practices. Inform the Line Leader or Shift Lead of any issues or quality concerns.
Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
Conduct visual inspections of equipment, machine guarding, and materials before, during, and after packaging runs.
Exhibit strong mechanical aptitude by managing lot changes, troubleshooting equipment problems, and operating all packaging machinery according to specifications.
Work collaboratively with the team on assigned packaging lines to meet daily schedules, optimize changeover times, and ensure timely deliveries to customers.
Contribute to Lean Goals and initiatives for continuous improvement.
Assist in the development and implementation of new strategies to improve quality and efficiency in the packaging department.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
A post-secondary education and 1-2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or regulated industry are preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, with the ability to read and comprehend SOPs and other documentation.
Proficiency in basic arithmetic and the capability to accurately complete simple forms and records are required.
Prior experience in a GMP, pharmaceutical, or production environment is an advantage.
Good visual acuity and manual dexterity are necessary.
Must be adaptable, able to respond swiftly, and manage changes in a fast-paced environment.
