If you are looking for a career in metal fabricating and are looking to grow your skills in a manufacturing environment, we have an incredible opportunity here in Burlington.

We are looking for hard working candidates to join a small team in a large Burlington building. You will be responsible for operating a large shear with a partner. You will be assisting to load plates of metal into the press, operate the machine, and stack the final pieces into piles based on their size. You will be required to lift 5lbs up to 50lbs at times. Working with a team that focuses on safety first, you will be required to wear steel-toed boots, long sleeves (or arm guards and a t-shirt in the summer), safety glasses, and hearing protection.

The position is physical as it requires you to be standing and sitting to operate the machine, twisting and turning to stack the machined parts, pulling and pushing carts to move the product around the warehouse. If you have not been in this type of role before, you will feel muscles you haven't felt before during your first week. Working in Burlington

- straight afternoons from 2 pm - 11 pm Monday to Friday
- $19/hr with an annual merit increase for those working hard to earn it
- learn to operate overhead crane
- learn to operate a large shear press
- physical workout so you can skip the gym
- once hired on, you will have full access to excellent benefits and vacation
- probation is completed on Randstad's payroll
- the right candidate will be given the opportunity to learn how to run a CNC plasma system

- physically capable of lifting 50lbs
- looking to grow a career in metal fabricating in a manufacturing environment
- 6+ months of working on a shear
- transferable skills would be considered: other machine operating, physical labour, metal manufacturing
- must own steel toed boots
- must have reliable transportation as this is not on a bus route
- must be comfortable performing quality inspections to determine which parts are properly machined and which ones are not
