We are currently hiring a machine operator for a manufacturing/fabrication company in SE Rocky View County, Alberta. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity with a very competitive pay range of $22 to $25 per hour to start, in a fantastic company that is a leader in its field.

You will be using a shearing machine and table blender to form rebar into the required size and shape, and lifting up to 50lbs. Previous experience operating a shear machine is required, and you also need to have great manual dexterity, be able to learn quickly, be used to physical work lifting up to 50lbs, and have a positive ‘can-do attitude.
The location is in SE Rocky View County, Alberta and is not transit accessible so a vehicle is required to get to work.
Shift schedule: Monday to Friday, with most Saturdays. Shift starts from 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Overtime will be a requirement for this position and changing shift times will be based on business needs.

•Moving steel bars (rebar) to the required workstation
•Using a shearing machine and table blender to form steel into the required size and shape
•Ensuring that safe working protocols are followed for the benefit of the whole team
Qualifications
•You need at least 1 year of experience as a shear machine operator
•You must be able to lift up to 50lbs
•You are able to quickly learn processes and how to operate new equipment
•Manual dexterity is important
•Most importantly, a positive can-do attitude is required
•must have your own transportation, as public transport is not available
•must have legal authorization to work in Canada by way of Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or valid Canadian work permit.
