Responsibilities
Your tasks as a machine operator for this company located in the industrial district of Dollard-des-Ormeaux will be:
- Set up and operate CNC machines for the manufacture of diamond tools;
- Be sure to monitor operations to determine if adjustments are necessary;
- Stop the machines when problems arise;
- Inspect and measure parts to ensure surfaces and dimensions meet specifications;
- Understand the specifications of the task to be performed and the desired result by reading plans, mechanical drawings, etc.;
- Translate instructions into computer commands so that machines can perform the correct function;
- Prepare and load the parts on the machines;
- Apply health and safety rules within the department;
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment!
Qualifications
In order to be able to work as a machine operator for this company, you must have the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, an asset;
- Experience in the field of stone cutting, an asset;
- Ability to use CNC machines and tools as well as precision measuring tools;
- Mechanical aptitude and good mathematical skills;
- Love manual work and ability to work with his hands;
- Ability to frequently lift, push and pull loads;
- Own steel-toed boots!
