We have an opportunity available in the Mississauga area near Laird and the Collegeway as a Machine Operator. This role is with a leader in the paper and packaging solutions industry. You will be assigned to a packaging line handling plastic packaging products. The ideal candidate will have machine operating experience, quality control and excellent attention to detail. Title: Machine Operator

SHIFT: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

SALARY: $19.50

Location: Laird and The Collegeway

What will you be responsible for?
- Performing machine operating duties on a packaging line
- Working on a bag manufacturing line (Maverick)
- Material handling
- Set up, loading and offloading, changing the film on machines, basic maintenance duties on machinery
- Tying, labeling and staging totes
- Handling plastic packaging products for food/wineries
- Performing various manufacturing and production tasks
- Unload boxes and stage the machines
- Visual inspection of the final packaged items
- Follow company safety standards
- Working in a moderate to fast-paced environment
- Keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition while maintaining related quality control, production and safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Other duties as assigned
