Leading & follow up on assigned work (completed in a timely manner)
Assigning and explaining daily tasks to Machinists - overseeing work progress and compliance
Training and assisting Machinists
Wide-ranging knowledge of tooling (calibrated measuring and test equipment)
Able to program & edit machines codes

Responsibilities
Leading the execution of work orders issued to the shop (documenting, and reporting any deficiencies with recommended effective solutions)
Machine various reactor inspection and maintenance components in single or multiple operations (performing complex programming )
Set-up and operate both lathes and mills (both CNC and Manual) monitoring machines – attention to all indicators to ensure efficiency
Set-up and operate machines on trial runs to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed controlled data; performing first article manufacturing when required
Liaise with all other necessary departments to resolve any issues related to machining, production, employee relations, health & safety, engineering, quality etc.
Recommends measure to improve quality results, production methods, equipment performance and product quality
Qualifications
3-5 years Machining experience and Supervisory experience
Journeypersons Certificate or experience as a Machinist
Experience in Aerospace, or Nuclear machining preferred
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Sigma Six and /or other Continual Improvement experience an asset
Knowledge with ISO 9001:2015 or CSA N299.3
Understanding of GD&T
