We're working with a client that specializes in custom fabrication and manufacturing work across a variety of industries (including electronics, telecommunications, automation, renewable energy, and more), and are looking for a full time permanent Supervisor for a Coquitlam Machine shop who can lead a team of 10 machinist and 2 operators.

Responsibilities
- Have a strong knowledge of CNC programming, manual machines, lathes, milling machines, drill presses and other equipment and general machining maintenance.
- Coach and mentor team members in Machining Departments
- Plan and coordinate work, schedules, and requirements.
- Leads training and development activities (including reviews of quality and productivity, and provide support and coaching).
-Lead continuous improvement opportunities and programs.
- Lead process controls and ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensure safety regulations are followed and create a safe work environments.
- Good communication skills with morning and graveyard supervisors, other department managers, and upper management.
Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
- CNC Machinist, with leadership experience
- Team player, with the ability to lead, coach, and guide
- Able to set up and run HAAS CNC 3 & 4 axis milling machines, Lathes, Presses, Tapping, and Manual Milling machines
- Solid understanding of HAAS controls, and MasterCAM software
- Proven ability to machine Copper, Steel (Satin, Stainless, Mild, etc) and Aluminum
- Custom job shop experience an asset
