What you will be doing?

- Machining parts to specs, from blueprints
- Working on both conventional lathes & mills
- Working with a variety of cutting tools
- Utilizing measuring gauges
- Using and changing inserts and tooling
- Working with many types of materials (steel)
- Performing maintenance on machinery in manual area

What are we looking for?

- Highly skilled Machinists - Licensed 429A Machinists and Machinist Apprentices encouraged to apply
- Full Apprenticeships and Sponsorship program offered
- Manual lathe experience - 3-5 years preferred
- Industry experience an asset, with industrial pumps, water treatment and motors
- Manufacturing and fabricating parts and pieces for the above equipment
- Able to read engineering drawings and blueprints
- Proven success machining from scratch on a Manual Lathe
- Ability to use gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
- Knowledge of tool changes, maintenance, and inserts
- Full preventative maintenance schedule in place - for tooling and machines
- Previous machining with a variety of steel and metals an asset
- Able to use hand and power tools, overhead cranes, blowtorches, etc.
- Able to bring own tools if preferred, but not necessary
