In this role you will have an impact on…

- Leading a team of Maintenance Technicians to ensure all machines and equipment are being maintained in a professional and timely manner.
- Machine troubleshooting
- Preventive Maintenance on all machines and facility equipment
- Oversees plumbing maintenance and carpentry
- Involved in all aspects of building maintenance requirements for all new construction, renovations and updates to current systems
- Coordinates and monitors contractors
- Organize and prepare drawing packages
- Sets priorities for PM work orders, requisitions and scheduled work.
- Maintains adequate supplies and equipment for the maintenance department.
- Troubleshoot, repairs, installs, and maintain various electrical components, appliances and equipment in accordance with pertinent codes, the preventative maintenance program and departmental procedures.
- Leads the Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical and preventative maintenance work on equipment as per preventative maintenance manual, e.g., circulating pumps, air handling systems, and refrigeration etc.
- Responsible for contracting and coordinating property maintenance
- Prepares monthly reports and budget.
- Prepares capital plan along with the maintenance committee.

You’re an ideal candidate for this role because you bring…

- Knowledge in facility and maintenance management.
- Knowledgeable in Building code, fire code, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems.
- Ability to manage a team and work independently
- Excellent written communication skills
- A degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, or electrician certification is a plus
- Knowledge of workplace compliance regulations
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver license.
- Cost control experience
- Microsoft computer software (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) experience
- First Aid skills and certificates are an asset
