Responsibilities
As a Sanitation worker, you will be responsible to:
• Clean and sanitize any area of the building, including the exterior.
• Clean and sanitize any equipment in the plant following strict lockout/tag out procedures
• Perform emergency cleaning duties in the event of an unexpected spill or flood
• Wash laundry and re-man barrels and clean all trays
• Take away plant garbage and dump it in the appropriate disposal areas
• Accurately record all scrap and re-man.
• Co-ordinate building repairs including painting, wall repairs and floor sealing
• Report any unsafe, unclean areas or any problems that could cause substandard quality or production.
• Maintain the exterior of the building and property including but not limited to lawn maintenance, power washing, snowblowing, salting , etc.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor.
Qualifications
To work as a Sanitation Worker you must be:
* Responsible and reliable self-starter who is capable of working effectively with little supervision.
* Able to complete in-plant training.
* Team player with a positive attitude, working well with others.
* Able to accurately record scrap
* Work independently or with group
* Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes
* Must be a strong performer who demonstrates reliability, an excellent attendance record, excellent team work and strong self-directed
