Maintenance Manager

This is a great opportunity for engineers who are looking to take on a little more responsibility, as you’ll be leading the team of Millwrights and Engineers at their Mississauga location.

We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager with a background in the manufacturing sector, particularly in Automated assembly lines and processes. If you have experience with AutoCAD, you’d be a great fit for this role.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining a program of preventative maintenance covering all production machinery and other capital equipment, using the ERP system
• Developing and maintaining a reactive maintenance program to support a production run
• Trouble-shoot issues and resolve as quickly as possible
• Sourcing and work with suppliers of machinery equipment, and facility maintenance, coordinating external supplier activity as necessary
• Maintaining spare parts inventory needed to maintain machinery and equipment at the facility
• Sourcing new equipment and machinery
• Participating in improvement projects as required assigning maintenance support
• Successfully managing the plant expansion and installation of the new line maintaining budget and timing to meet increased production requirements
• Be available on call 24 hours/7days a week for any unnecessary breakdowns that might affect the facility.
• Improving machine uptime, downtime analysis, and all KPIs
• Driving the Lean initiatives and continuous improvement within the department
• Recruiting, managing and developing staff

Qualifications

• An engineering degree, with a focus in mechanical engineering
• 10 years of experience working in the manufacturing sector
• Experience working with automated assembly line manufacturing processes
• Solid knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset
• Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively lead a team is a MUST. Minimum 5-6 years of Supervision Experience required for this position
