Calling all maintenance mechanics!

Our client, a leading manufacturing in pharmaceutical packaging, is looking for a maintenance mechanic for an immediate start on AFTERNOONS (2pm - 1015pm)

The maintenance mechanic would be responsible for repairing, and maintaining, machinery such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines / equipment.

Some of the duties are

- Observing mechanical devices in operation and listening to sounds made to locate source of problems
- Dismantling devices in order to gain access to and remove defective parts
- Examining form and texture of parts to detect any imperfections
- Inspecting used parts to determine any changes in dimensional requirements
- Adjusting functional parts of both devices, and control instruments
- Repairing or replacing defective parts, installing functional and structural parts in devices + lubrication and cleaning
- Testing devices performance
- Setting up and operating Lathe, Drill Press, Grinder, and other metalworking tools to both fabricate and repair parts
- Initiating purchase orders for parts and machines
- Repairing electrical equipment

Qualifications
- Ability to perform each duty successfully
- Millwright license (433a) or equivalent combination of experience and training
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance manuals, and procedure manuals
- Strong oral and written communication
- Able to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Able to apply concepts such as fractions percentages, ratios, proportions etc to practical situations
- Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in limited standardization scenarios
