We're looking for a continental shift millwright to be responsible for the P.M., upkeep, and repair of the food manufacturing and high-speed packaging equipment of a manufacturing company in Brandon, MB.

Responsibilities
Take an active role in the manufacturing systems by:
-Maintaining, upgrading, and repairing plant equipment to ensure a high level of performance with minimal downtime.
-Having an understanding of machine and system schematics to effectively P.M., troubleshoot, and do root-cause repairs on high-speed machinery and equipment (with a focus on pumps, pneumatics, conveyors, automated machinery, and hydraulics issues).
-Help minimize production downtime by reacting quickly to equipment issues
-Install, upgrade, and modify production machines (including reading blueprints) as needed.
-Follow all company and Industry policies, rules, and requirements in regards to personal and food manufacturing safety
-Consistent communication with the manager and other tradespersons to ensure peak production and forecast potential issues
Qualifications
Requirements:
Millwright ticket (Journeyman or Red Seal) with maintenance experience (manufacturing or fabrication)
OR
Maintenance Electrician ticket (Journeyman or Red Seal) with manufacturing experience
Experience in Hydraulics and pneumatics
Ability to be reliable, honest, and show strong work ethic
Basic electrical, fabrication, welding (stainless), and machining experience
Knowledge or ability to quickly learn CMMS (SAP) programs
