We are looking for a Maintenance Planner to join the growing team of our client in Brantford.
The Maintenance Planner is tasked with organizing and scheduling all necessary maintenance activities to ensure the proper upkeep of plant equipment and facilities. This role involves working in close coordination with the Mechanical Lead Hand, Electrical Lead Hand, and MRO Coordinator to guarantee that maintenance tasks are planned efficiently and prioritized based on urgency and importance.

Responsibilities
Ensure that all maintenance tasks are planned and scheduled for timely and efficient completion.
Develop and communicate maintenance work plans two weeks in advance to all impacted parties.
Identify opportunities for improvements, including safety hazards, preventive maintenance task enhancements, and overall departmental efficiency.
Plan and coordinate all maintenance work to promote a culture focused on preventing injuries and equipment breakdowns.
Support the development of improvement plans and initiatives.
Utilize MP2 software daily to handle work orders and manage preventive maintenance schedules.
Use MS Excel to create timelines for planned outages.
Take ownership of planning maintenance downtime activities to guarantee that all required tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Ensure all necessary parts are prepared and delivered for each job.
Recognize the importance of Preventative and Predictive Maintenance and plan all associated activities to align with this strategy.
Assist in diagnosing and resolving preventive maintenance issues.
Collaborate with the MRO Coordinator to keep the spare parts inventory in MP2 up to date.
Qualifications
A college diploma in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Solid knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and familiarity with both mechanical and electrical equipment.
Availability to work a standard day shift, with the flexibility to work overtime when needed.
