Responsibilities
•Supervise and train crews, including planning manpower and work organization, managing absenteeism and conflict.
•Administer appropriate coaching, providing leadership guidance and continually develop employees in accordance with the needs of the department.
•Track, maintain and order parts and other supplies needed for effective maintenance.
•Manage all maintenance procedures and crew activities to produce results that meet or exceed accepted quality, efficiency and safety standards, including maintaining CFIA ratings by meeting or exceeding CFIA regulations requirement for equipment and plant maintenance, while maintaining safety
•Implement a continuous improvement philosophy in all areas of operation.
•Liaise with other departments on maintenance concerns and maintain strong relationships within and outside the organization
Qualifications
•Possession of Diploma or post-secondary education with Technical Certificate preferred (433a or 442a)
•Comfortable working in a food environment (cold temperature)
•Proven leadership, team building and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, co-workers and Managers.
•Strong verbal and written as well as effective communication skills to lead, motivate, coach, mentor and resolve employee conflict.
•Flexible & open to work Night shifts, Weekend and Overtime work as required.
