- Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 8:00AM-4:30PM; Friday 8:00AM-2:00PM
Responsibilities
•Leads the Program Management Department in all aspects
•Responsible for development and implementation of productivity improvement projects
•Identifies business development opportunities within the customer base and supports the senior leadership team in executing the new business strategy
•Responsible for commercial and technical coordination of engineering changes during product development and launch phases
•Ambassador for the company with the customer base to provide ongoing service program and engineering support
•Coordinates with Product Manager to develop price models for purpose of new program quotations
•Leads, or has Program Managers lead, weekly APQP activities by communicating and assigning customer deliverables to the internal cross functional team; reports deliverables and expected timelines to the Director
•Directly coordinates program activities by providing commercial, technical, and project support to internal and external customers from SOR (statement of requirements) through prototyping and production launch activities to SORP (start of regular production)
•Manages the capex and tooling budgets for all new business related to program launches
Qualifications
•Post-Secondary education, preferably in engineering or equivalent experience
•Minimum of 5 years engineering experience in automotive manufacturing preferably launching new programs at Tier 1 or OEM
•Demonstrated ability to lead other engineering positions to deliver results
•Ability to analyze and interpret blueprint specifications using the principles of GD&T
•Practical knowledge of gauge and tooling design
•Thorough knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO/IATF16949)
•Ability to travel internationally (up to 25%)
