Responsibilities
As a Manager, Financial Accounting and Reporting, your duties will include but not limited to:
•Driving delivery and quality of financial reports, across regions and entities of responsibility to meet set timelines
•Providing first line commentary and analysis of variances and drivers primarily to Partnering & Insight and Governance & Control
•Ensuring that all periodic (e.g. monthly, quarterly, annual) reporting for the team meets set deadlines
•Implementing changes in financial processes and compiling reports, driving efficiencies and cost savings across regions and entities
•Maintaining Company internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
•Supporting deliver of Finance Project Work streams in HBCA projects as well as support business work streams in HBCA projects.
•Building new collaborative relationships with stakeholders in order to get things done quickly and effectively
•Presenting a balanced and reasoned case when recommending a particular course of action
•Encouraging others to demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusion and well-being in everyday actions
•Helping others to adapt to change by consistently reinforcing the future benefits and addressing any uncertainty or concerns
•Responding to multiple requirements, competing priorities and critical work demands with flexibility and resilience
•Managing Business Performance
•Translating organizational goals into clear and practicable strategies and plans
•Creating enthusiasm and commitment to attaining outcomes and performance targets
Qualifications
•Business or Accounting degree
•Strong skills in desktop tools like Microsoft Excel and Word
•Financial Reporting, Management Reporting and Analysis experience
•Financial institution experience
•5 years in work experience in financial services preferably in retail banking and wealth management
Nice to Have
•CPA designation preferred but not required.
•Experience in data governance work in a project environment.
•System knowledge in SAS, Essbase/Smartview, PeopleSoft/Oracle GL
•Retail and Wealth Management experience in a financial institution
