Reporting to the Senior Manager of Fund Accounting, you will be working collaboratively with many constituents across the organization and have the ability to::
- Provide leadership and mentorship to senior accountants
- Oversee preparation of quarterly financial statements and reporting for private investors
- Oversee the monthly close and joint venture consolidation process and review monthly reports
- Assist with the fund and joint venture annual audit process including responding to audit inquiries, manage auditor and team member timelines, and ensure delivery of requested documents
- Oversee preparation of annual tax documentation for private investors
- Review limited partner funding calls and distributions including incentive fee calculations
- Improve and automate workbooks to enhance accuracy of financial reporting
- Review and approve journal entries
- Implement system and process improvements
- Enforce proper internal controls
- Collaborate with investment team, developers, equity partners, lenders, and other external parties
- Work with management on special projects, as required

Qualifications:
University degree in Finance, Commerce (or relevant field) and CPA certified
4+ years accounting experience with 1+ year of leadership/supervisory experience
Experience in private equity, funds management or financial services preferred
Experience with consolidation and elimination entries
Experience with incentive and waterfall calculations
Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
Demonstrates strong attention to detail and adheres to high standards for work quality
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
