Responsibilities
As a Manager, Regulatory Reporting, your duties will include but not limited to:
•Being responsible for regulatory reporting to local regulators, developing and maintaining the procedures and processes for inputting and validating data in regulatory filings.
•Participating in and providing support for all finance related projects related to Regulatory Reporting, which will include close co-ordination with Credit Risk Management, Business, IT and Operations.
•Supporting to key stakeholders based in Canada and collaborate with team members based in India.
Qualifications
•An Accounting degree, bachelor’s degree or other qualifications relevant to the industry. (MBA, CA, CWA, CS, Canadian CPA, CFA)
•Overall experience of at least 2-5 years
•Good Knowledge of Regulatory and/or Risk backgrounds
•Expert level using Excel
•Knowledge of IFRS
•Previous employment with a Financial Institution
•Good knowledge of balance sheet, banking and financial products and how they impact regulatory reporting and more generically the banking business
•Good analytical and writing skills to prepare the variance and commentary packages; Excel, Access, QlikSense FTP framework (Essbase).
•Experience working in/with an organization that handles complex products
•Experience of working with colleagues cross-border in a multinational organization
•Some product knowledge
•Work effectively in a collaborative, team environment with change teams, and other finance and risk management professionals.
•Adherence to Group policies, audit, controls, regulatory and compliance requirements including but not limited to Declaration of secrecy, data protection act, health, safety and security, clear desk policy
•Strong written and oral communicate skills
•Ability to communicate complex ideas (e.g. relating to transactions/adoption of policies) in a simple manner to a global audience
•Ability to multi-task to ensure compliance with strict deadlines
•Excellent time management and prioritization skills with the ability to adapt to changing situations and be able to understand issues quickly
•Strong attention to detail and being solution oriented
•Due to the significant amount of data and exposures being analyzed very strong desktop PC skills are also a prerequisite
•The need to produce complex financial information in an environment governed by the requirements of the Sarbanes Oxley Act.
Nice to have:
•Detailed knowledge of Basel reporting, Access, Qlik Sense, FTP framework, Essbase
•Someone who is able to manage significant amounts of data
•Financial reporting and/or financial analysis experience
•Working with cloud-based technologies is a plus
