Position Summary:
This Manager, Customer Supply Chain position will be responsible for managing a team of Sr Customer Replenishment Planners while focusing on the Customer-driven supply chain, distinguishing between actions that provide customers with real value, and actions which just add costs. The role will facilitate and maximize collaboration with Key Customers. Throughout time, the goal will be to reduce touch points and decision points, Increasing supply chain effectiveness.
A key objective will be to establish a collaborative relationship with our customer supply chain organizations. The role will assist in reducing errors and accelerating time to market while improving logistics, order fulfillment, demand planning, and general operations. The person in this role will proactively develop working relationships with customer key decision-makers and appropriate functions to facilitate the creation of joint logistics opportunities and issues resolution.
Proven experience with customers' business practices, roles, and information systems is a critical success factor, along with a working knowledge of the “End to End” supply chain. Fundamental to this position is the establishment of mutual performance expectations and monitoring vehicles in conjunction with effective and timely communication throughout both organizations. Specifically, this position will have complete ownership and compliance monitoring responsibility for customer-generated scorecards. He/she will identify, initiate, and lead various projects, resulting in mutually beneficial improvements.
What will you do?
Develop and enable a multi-matrix collaborative relationship with Customer's Supply Chain, Sales and Operations organization.
Responsible for the strategic development of customer logistics with Key Customers; creating growth opportunities and driving efficiencies through joint supply chain collaboration.
Act as Supply Chain/ Logistics Subject Matter Expert and enables the tactical issue resolution to strategic improvements.
Represent Operations/Logistics as the key contact in all supply chain issues, and represent all Logistics process owners to customers.
Maintain a detailed knowledge of customers' systems, processes and infrastructure (ECCnet, SAP, JDA, etc.) and how they link to our internal systems and processes.
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and customer advocate as well as the voice of the customer to all internal groups.
Responsible for ensuring that process owners and customers are achieving internal metrics targets to drive cost efficiencies through the supply chain.
Set priorities within the Customer sales team and provide leadership in process definition, problem-solving, and project implementation.
Tasked with all supply chain strategic projects associated with Canada Supply Chain. (Price increases, SKU Rationalization, Innovation, Waste etc.
Qualifications
What We Need
5 years minimum experience cultivating customer relationships in relevant industries.
Demonstrated progressive leadership experience in a matrix supply chain organization (with exposure to other functions, eg: Sales, Supply Chain Planning, Finance, Distribution, Transportation etc).
Strong interpersonal, communication & presentation skills.
Strong customer focus & championing skills.
Strong negotiation, influencing skills / gaining commitment.
Strategic thinking: looking for areas of improvement to create growth, improve financial performance and gain global & local competitive advantage.
Results & performance driven with a bias for action & sense of urgency on priorities.
