Develop a strategy to increase brand awareness and prospects for potential new clients
Build and maintain relationships with clients to develop new work and drive repeat business
Cold call as appropriate within geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities
Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging the network
Present new services and enhance existing relationships
Identify and meet with decision-makers and learn about needs and current vendors
Follow up on leads and turn them into profitable opportunities
Maintain the CRM activities, opportunities, and forecasting
Participate in trade shows, events, and networking functions to build and maintain client relationships and business
Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective clients
Develop and improve processes and procedures to continually improve sales capabilities
Prepare and review proposals for projects with the intent to obtain new and repeat client business
Coordination of Project Management
Oversee all aspects of the projects within the region
Plan resources effectively and work collaboratively with other regions to share resources
Ensure proper, complete preparation and execution of scheduled work
Preparation of status and progress reports
Ensure a safe work process is executed with each job and a culture of safety is fostered
Ensure completion of reports and follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and completeness of work
Ensure accurate and timely project invoicing
Ultimate responsibility for client service delivery on all projects

Local procurement - equipment, supply needs
Assist in preparing quotes, reports, tender packages, and quotations
Manage schedule of local resources
Arrange office maintenance with applicable vendors
Business Objectives
Work collaboratively with Leadership to set objectives aligned withoverall operating plan, goals for growth in expertise, services and volume
Meet and exceed company objectives and goals
Work with Leadership to determine yearly budget requirements and meet budget objectives
Work with Leadership to measure department performance as it relates to key metrics such as client maintenance activities, proposal generation, revenue, labour utilization and project margins
People Leadership
Lead a team of Technicians/Engineers in the area
Recruit (with HR) and directly lead new Engineering and Field Service team members
Provide coaching and development to team members to be a source of talent
Effectively provide performance management, recognition, compensation reviews, and performance reviews
Success Measurements
Success measurements will be established in regard to:
Safety
Revenue
Gross Profit Margin
Developing new business
Proposal Generation
Billing Efficiency & Utilization
Qualifications
Electrical Engineering diploma, degree, or PSE certification
NETA (International Electrical Testing Association) certification preferred
5+ years’ experience as an Electrical Technologist / Field Technician / Power Systems Electrician preferred
Relevant experience in maintenance, repair, rebuild and troubleshooting of transformers, protective relays, and circuit breakers preferred
Proficient knowledge of the principles behind the test equipment used and a well-rounded understanding of power systems
Experience in the Installation, commissioning, and start-up of power equipment is preferred
Experience working with automation & control systems in the power and utilities market is an asset
Possesses hands-on field experience in commissioning, testing, or maintaining power delivery equipment; including breakers, switchgear, relays, and transformers preferred
Ability to travel - approx. 25% overnight travel
Must have a valid driver's license
A career-minded individual with proven initiative, client focus, and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent time management skills (able to work with minimal supervision)
Able to work flexible hours that might include weekends, evenings, and holidays
Work as a team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
