Manufacturing Engineer - Medical Devices

We’re looking for an experienced Manufacturing engineer with an Electro-Mechanical background in having experience within the medical device industry. Familiarity with utilization of common quality control measuring devices and tools is a MUST.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
• Responsible to create manufacturing and inspection procedures.
• Identify and document needs for process improvements and fixtures as needed.
• Effectively train production staff on manufacturing/ assembly and inspection procedures.
• Improve productivity and efficiency by providing ongoing training for new production processes and methods. Make sure the written process translates into efficient and reliable production.
• Work with operations and development team to ensure finished products meet customer specifications.
• Work with manufacturing team to solve production and quality related issues.


REQUIREMENT- EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• 5+ years experience in manufacturing role in a Lean Environment, preferably in device and instrument production environment.
• Working familiarity with mechanical drawings and electrical circuit.
• Strong test, measurement and troubleshooting skills.
• Instrument Calibration and running test scripts.
• Strong experience in DFX aspects and Lean Manufacturing.
• Root Cause Analysis, DOE, instrumentation testing, Troubleshooting and debugging.
• Working familiarity with new product introduction activities from design transfer, pilot run through to general production readiness.
• SolidWorks or other CAD applications experiences is a plus."Green Belt" certified is a plus.
