We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer for a well established high tech manufacturing client of ours in the Vancouver area. The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering background with strong leadership experience and the ability to thrive in a fast paced /high tech manufacturing environment.


-Developing robust build plans for custom and configurable product families including layout, material movements, production processes, work instructions, and jigs
-Pursuing best in class DFMA for electro-mechanical assemblies
-Taking ownership of manufacturing deliverables for NPI as part of a core team
-Leading manufacturing improvement projects with influence over the entire value stream
-Providing technical direction, coaching, and training to other members of the manufacturing team
-Making strategic decisions regarding the creation and maintenance of build documentation and standards
-Researching equipment and tooling for improving employee safety, product quality, and reducing
overall product cost
-Determining root causes of manufacturing issues and driving completion of corrective actions


-10 or more years as an engineer in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
-Bachelor or Master Degree in mechanical engineering

Demonstrated experience showing the ability to:
-Lead NPI and new product line development
-Implement mixed model strategies in a manufacturing environment
-Design effective jigs and fixtures to improve safety, quality, and cost
-Effectively communicate technical concepts to different audiences
-Work within collaborative teams and complete assignments to schedule
-Perform high level critical thinking and problem solving
-Strong understanding of scheduling and material setup within an ERP environment
-Leverage technology to drive manufacturing improvements
