Our client in the Oakville area has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Manufacturing Manager to join their team. In this role, you would head up operations on a future assembly line, participating in the final facility construction, installation and commissioning of the automated module manufacturing line. Day to day, you will manage the production schedule, equipment maintenance, materials (including overseas components), personnel, and process improvement.

Specific responsibilities would include:
•Project manage deployment of automated assembly line collaboratively with current resources
•Identification and adoption of Industry 4.0 opportunities during deployment and further into day to day operation
•Build and nurture a disciplined team of remaining staff members (engineers, technicians, operators) for automated assembly line
•Coordinate plant equipment final commissioning and start-up, first articles testing
•Maintain compliance with all safety regulations
•Manage material inventory and overseas component supply chain
•Tightly manage cash flow and costs to budget with systems to control material, capital, MRO expenditures, manpower and wages
•Inspect equipment health and schedule maintenance
•Develop, maintain and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, safety and efficiency in line with objectives of the department. Use the metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives
•Work with product engineering and supply chain teams to continually enhance the manufacturability and quality of the product
•Maintain joint production and delivery schedule with existing display manufacturing division through ERP
•Effectively manage production through pre-defined daily/weekly/monthly targets
•Maintain staffing schedule

As a qualified candidate, you meet the following requirements:
•Experience in electronics manufacturing in outdoor, wide-temperature, automotive, or other similar high reliability applications.
•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
•Overseas supply chain experience
•Management experience within a manufacturing environment
•Continuous improvement process experience
•Experience with automated assembly lines preferred
•Lean Six Sigma certification is an asset
•Mandarin or Cantonese fluency is a strong asset
•Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP is an asset
•Excellent organizational and communication skills
