Responsibilities
As the Marketing & Distribution Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
Marketing Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team to develop the annual marketing strategic plan.
- Chair marketing committee meetings and actively contribute to strategic discussions.
- Implement effective marketing plans, materials, and communications aligned with corporate guidelines.
- Execute marketing and outreach plans to promote our products and services.
- Create and update marketing materials, coordinating with external vendors when necessary.
- Stay up to date with industry marketing trends to drive innovative strategies.
Communications:
- Consult and strategize with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent and integrated communications.
- Coordinate meetings and create materials to support business needs.
- Maintain and update the company website, ensuring accuracy, layout optimization, and AODA compliance.
- Manage company social media accounts, including content creation and analyzing campaign results.
- Research and recommend new ways of direct correspondence through internet and social media, while measuring cost savings.
- Design and develop advertisements for Industry Associations as requested.
- Develop and distribute a corporate newsletter for clients, vendors, and employees, including layout design and article coordination.
Client Events / Broker Management:
- Plan and execute broker/industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
- Assist with registrations and bookings for company and industry events.
- Prepare and distribute annual broker communication packages, including summary letters and production results.
- Organize and compute broker production summaries.
- Manage Broker Agreements and update broker information in collaboration with the Operations team.
- Provide oversight of the CRM system, recommending and implementing strategic enhancements.
- Coordinate the distribution of sports event tickets.
- Assist in building relationships with existing brokers to support customer retention.
Marketing Coordination:
- Prepare production reports and spreadsheets as required.
- Create corporate presentations for marketing and management purposes.
- Plan and coordinate marketing materials and promotional items.
- Coordinate translation services with external vendors for marketing and corporate documents.
- Assist with other administrative and operational tasks as needed.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you possess the following qualifications:
- Insurance industry experience is a huge asset
- A college diploma or university degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, and/or broker distribution.
- Proficiency in digital editing and marketing content, including social media platforms.
- Experience in event planning and management, including trade shows and conferences.
- Demonstrated support across various business lines.
- Proven artistic and creative skills to ensure marketing materials stand out.
- Positive and collaborative attitude, thriving in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive results.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to foster collaboration and bring people together.
- Thought leadership and ability to innovate solutions quickly.
- Comfortable working in a changing environment with ambiguity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook).
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is preferred.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in French is a plus.
- Previous insurance experience is highly desirable.
- Graphic design knowledge/experience is an asset.
