job description

We are hiring a Material Handler for a steel plant here in Burlington! You will be working in a close-knit team where team-work and good work ethics are practiced daily. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating a bandsaw to cut metal in specific measurements. You will be reading a measuring tape and working with fractions often! You will also be operating a metal shear to slice metal. You will then be required to safely operate a counterbalance forklift to move the materials through the warehouse.

You will be responsible for the safety of yourself and others around you. You will be required to always wear your personal protective equipment and abide by all the rules of the warehouse.

Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing warehouse
- Experience operating a metal shear, bandsaw an advantage
- certified to operate a counterbalance forklift
- highly capable of reading a tape measure and working with fractions
- able to commit to working straight days, Monday to Friday from 8 am - 4:30 pm
-Ability to lift 50lbs and more if needed
