Responsibilities
- Ability to meet goals regarding product lead times
- Ability to coordinate with different demand planning groups.
- Ability to resolve any issues that arise in getting the required materials on time.
- Ability to keep a close eye on delivery order lead times and promptly address any concerns.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to expedite SAP delivery orders.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, create project plans, present proposals, and follow through on projects.
- Take charge of dock operations, ensuring safety procedures are followed, training records are up-to-date, and materials are handled properly.
- Act as a backup for the build supervisor, mastering systems, spreadsheets, and processes to manage the department when needed.
- Assist in the startup of new buildings, ensuring safety protocols and operational setups are in place with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with local customer teams and construction on building startup projects and deliveries.
- Compile and present data effectively for managerial meetings, pinpointing opportunities for financial and efficiency improvements related to materials.
- Coordinate material flow at the customer's site, including direct deliveries and drop trailers, in coordination with warehouse personnel.
- Manage work tickets for material movement between the customer's site and the warehouse for inventory purposes.
- Support the onboarding of new material planners, ensuring a seamless transition into the role.
- Enhance training documentation to support role success and responsibilities.
- Assist with payroll and HR matters and participate in the interview process as needed.
- Conduct on-the-job training sessions for team members and identify new training opportunities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in material planning or a related field.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Familiarity with SAP and materials management systems is a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Flexibility to accommodate specified work hours
