In this role, you will be providing support to the Supply Chain department by ensuring direct material inventory levels are within state
parameters, ordering mechanical and electronic parts, and On-Time-Delivery of materials to meet Schedules.
Must have a working knowledge of SAP and advanced MS Excel***

Responsibilities
• Maintain SAP system and ensure suppliers' on-time delivery of parts and units in EDI
• Plan short-long term supply and demand with the engineering and sales team.
• Prepare yearly, and monthly forecasts for inventory optimization.
• Managing inventory to meet plant and corporate objectives.
• Schedule inbound freight.
• Resolve supplier invoice discrepancies (price or quantity).
• Investigate Inventory Discrepancies, determine root cause and corrective action.
• Set preferred safety stock levels based on Material Requirement Planning (MRP).
• Build relationships within internal coworkers to achieve higher performance.
• Develop and monitor internal and external Key Performance Indicator (KPI) including forecast accuracy
and vendor metrics.
• Backup buyers’ duties if necessary.
• Build relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality, delivery and compliance to the terms of contracts.
• Review the inventory level of purchased materials to ensure they are within the department/company goals for
inventory turns.
• Prepare daily MRP runs, back orders and schedules.
• Review suppliers’ delivery performance.
• Analyze missing materials (assigned suppliers).
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• SAP & Microsoft Excel knowledge is highly preferred.
