Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Materials Coordinator will ship finished goods to customers, transfer materials to the production facility, to receive, inspect and store raw materials with the highest level of safety.

Responsibilities
•Safely prepare materials for outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling
•Verify shipment accuracy, including quantities and product quality.
•Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to load materials onto delivery vehicles.
•Oversee the receipt of incoming materials, checking for accuracy and compliance with purchase orders.
•Unload and inspect deliveries for damages or discrepancies.
•Ensure materials are properly staged for inspection and storage.
•Utilize the Infor M3 system to accurately record all material transactions, including receipts, shipments, and transfers.
•Maintain electronic records and ensure data integrity.
•Organize and manage the efficient placement of materials in the warehouse.
•Implement a logical and systematic storage system to maximize space utilization and ease of retrieval.
•Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations.
•Regularly inspect storage areas and workspaces, promptly addressing any cleanliness or safety concerns.
•Safely operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and conveyor systems.
•Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
•Verify that outgoing orders match customer requirements and shipping documentation.
•Conduct final checks to ensure accuracy before shipping materials to customers or other departments.
•Conduct regular cycle counts to validate inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
•Collaborate with the inventory control team to resolve any discrepancies.
•Actively participate in process improvement initiatives, suggesting enhancements to streamline warehouse operations.
•Identify areas where efficiency can be improved, cost savings can be realized, or safety can be enhanced.
•Continuously assess and reorganize warehouse space as needed to accommodate changing inventory levels and operational requirements.
•Implement space optimization strategies to make the best use of available storage areas.
Qualifications
•At least three years of experience in a warehouse/ manufacturing setting with some coordinating experience.
•Experience using ERP systems - Infor M3 would be an asset.
• Valid Forklift License and minimum 3 years’ experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Ability to prioritize tasks and make informed decisions.
•Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
•Strong inventory control skills
•Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices
•Safety focused and must comply with all safety requirements.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
•Honest, dependable, quick learner, strong leader, positive attitude.
•Able to work well independently and in a team setting.
•Excellent planning and organizing skills
