Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Materials Supervisor will ship finished goods to customers, transfer materials to the production facility, to receive, inspect and store raw materials with the highest level of safety.

Responsibilities
•Utilize inventory management software to maintain a comprehensive record of all stock items.
•Monitor inventory levels, track usage trends, and anticipate replenishment needs.
•Actively engage in procurement activities to acquire additional stock when necessary.
•Efficiently distribute materials from stock to fulfill requisitions from various departments.
•Oversee the safe operation of all equipment used for material movement within the warehouse.
•Conduct regular equipment inspections and maintenance checks to ensure proper functionality.
•Enforce safety protocols and provide training to warehouse personnel on equipment handling.
•Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that all warehouse employees are proficient in their respective roles.
•Continuously assess employee performance and identify opportunities for skill improvement.
•Foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
•Take the lead in implementing and maintaining warehouse sanitation and 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) principles.
•Establish and enforce cleaning schedules and procedures to uphold a clean and organized warehouse environment.
•Develop and maintain a cross-training matrix to ensure that backup personnel are trained and available for key warehouse positions.
•Promote flexibility and resilience in the workforce to address staffing gaps effectively.
•Enhance inventory accuracy through continuous monitoring of daily warehouse activities.
•Conduct regular cycle counts and implement corrective actions to address discrepancies promptly.
•Review and refine receiving procedures and conduct regular audits to maintain precision.
•Organize and coordinate daily activities and staff schedules within the warehouse.
•Ensure that fulfillment goals, such as order processing and shipping deadlines, are consistently met.
•Monitor and manage the timely, accurate, and undamaged shipment of products.
•Collaborate with managers and cross-functional departments to develop, optimize, and modify materials handling processes and procedures.
•Seek opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and enhanced efficiency.
•Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by senior management or as required to support warehouse operations.
•Adapt to changing priorities and contribute to the overall success of the warehouse team.
Qualifications
•At least three years of experience in a warehouse/ manufacturing setting with supervisory experience, preferred.
•Experience using ERP systems - Infor M3 would be an asset.
•Valid Forklift License and minimum 3 years’ experience.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Ability to prioritize tasks and make informed decisions.
•Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
•Strong inventory control skills
•Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices
•Safety focused and must comply with all safety requirements.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
•Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
•Honest, dependable, quick learner, strong leader, positive attitude.
•Able to work well independently and in a team setting.
•Excellent planning and organizing skills
