Responsibilities
Knowledge and experience in Vision systems / camera system, robotics and 3 axis robots and 6 axis
robots
 Review and analyze design change request initiated by manufacturing personnel to determine
feasibility, validity, savings, effect on design, and verify justification for change
 Evaluate, test and select facilities, equipment, and materials required for production in conjunction
with production supervision, purchasing and other groups
 Perform a variety of cost analyses, e.g., cost estimates for quotations or "make or buy" decisions
 Supervise and assign projects to staff members to ensure the development of manufacturing
processes support new product development and meet customer requirements.
 Provide design timelines and update design schedules, keeping other departments informed of the
progress projects
 Manage the team of ME’s, providing training and coaching whenever possible
 Study, analyze and design methods, procedures, processes, layouts, flow, fixtures, and tooling as
needed to support production
 Investigate, recommend, and implement manufacturing cost reduction and product improvement
programs
 Identify root cause and corrective actions for manufacturing problems
 Participate in the review and evaluation of new product designs or design changes
 All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Engineering degree or plastics related 4 year technical college diploma
 Minimum 2 years’ experience in thermoplastic injection moulding
 Thorough understanding of APQP Process, PFMEA. PFD/PFC, Control Plan, GR&R, Capability
studies and the elements of TS16949
 Good understanding of industrial safety standards
 Ability to interpret Engineering drawings and have knowledge of GD&T
 Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and CAD programs
 Ability to understand and describe the entire moulding process in detail
